OvGU has an agreement with the housing cooperative "Otto von Guericke e.G." to provide low-cost housing for student parents. They receive rent subsidies or even a kitchen for the apartments. § 2 Services of the housing cooperative
The Wohnungsbaugenossenschaft Otto von Guericke eG. supports students with children by providing the following services:
1. Renting three-room apartments and larger apartments without a deposit and with the establishment of membership to the housing cooperative with only four mandatory shares (160.00 ).
2. Granting of rent subsidies, which are credited monthly to the tenant's account of the student, in the amount of
- a. 360,00 /year (30,00 /month) for apartments up to 60 m2 living space
- b. 480,00 /year (40,00 /month) for apartments up to 75 m2 living area
- c. 600,00 /year (50,00 /month) for apartments over 75 m2 living area
3. As an alternative to the above rent subsidies, the housing cooperative will provide a kitchen with a total value of max. 1,500.00, without increasing the rent.
